2. Listen(find a podcast) and read the poem. Now your read and  record the poem:
DREAMS
by Langston Hughes

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
 Life is a broken-winged bird
 That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams
 For when dreams go
 Life is a barren field
 Frozen with snow.

With what two things does Hughes compare a life without dreams? In what ways are the comparisons appropriate?
